I Admire People Like Scott Baio and Other Bold Conservatives

Making Sense

Believe it or not there are people in this world who work in prominent places of our society (like Hollywood) and make sense.  One such person is actor Scott Baio.  You may remember Mr. Baio from Happy Days or my favorite show, Diagnosis Murder.  Scott is a great example of a conservative who stands up for liberty and what is right in America despite intense pressure from others to go with the crowd on the left.

I admire Christians and Conservatives

Aside from a short stint in Hollywood myself,  I cannot say I know a whole lot about the pressure people like Scott face.  However, we know opposition and hatred toward a conservative worldview is very real.  A quick of check of major online news feeds from places such as Yahoo, Google or Bing demonstrate the media’s anti Biblical and anti God worldview which attempt to paint Conservatives and Christians as narrow-minded, hateful, intolerant or just plain crazy.   Major news outlets such as MSNBC, CNN, NBC, CBC or ABC use and abuse their place in society in an attempt at destroying any Christian and Conservative worldview.

Ask any prominent Christian such as Ken Ham or conservative like Sean Hannity or Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway about slander, libel and death threats they have received.  They don’t complain about it but instead face another day fighting for the truth.  Attacks against these great folks are common place and that is why I admire people like Scott Baio, Milo Yiannopoulos, Sean Hannity, Kellyanne Conway, Ray Comfort, Todd Starnes, Rush Limbaugh, Allen West, Stephen Baldwin, Larry Elder, Herman Cain, Michelle Malkin, Michele Bachmann, Carly Fiorina, Ann Coulter and the countless others who are bold in speaking the truth about God, the Bible and Conservative values.

Time To Be Bold

Jesus asked, "Who do you say that I am?"

There is a war going on in the world today.

Now I am not speaking about a physical war or a nation at war with another nation or people at war another group of people (all which may be true).   (However, these types of wars are evidences of the big war I am referring to).   The war I am talking about is a spiritual one.   This war is not between flesh and blood.   This war is for the hearts and minds of every single person on the planet and it’s ultimately against God.  As Christians we must not let up in fighting the good fight of faith and sharing the truth of who Jesus truly is.   If we don’t, millions of people will be going to hell forever.   This is not God’s way.   Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?”

So today I ask the same question.  Who do you say that Jesus is?    Was He just a man or something more?   Because if He was something more, shouldn’t we all find out what that is?

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”   So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.           Matthew 16:13-17

God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.   1 Timothy 3:16

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.          John 1:1-5, 14

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8

What Truly Matters

Billions of people are posting each day on the internet.  Some things that are posted to their blogs matter more than other things but I urge you not to shrug this post off as just another blog post and/or religious person’s crazy post who doesn’t get many views.   If you have questions about God, the Bible, heaven or hell, etc you need answers.   And you need the right answers.  If you are mad at God, Christians or both you need answers.  If you are mad at anybody you need answers.  For sure all of your questions may not have satisfactory answers right now but the ones God wants us to know right now do.   We may not like the answers but God always will give the correct answers.  You owe it to yourself to get answers to your questions but most importantly to find out for sure what happens after you die because you may not have tomorrow.  Thank you for your time.

Democrats Compare Christianity to Islam, but is there a bigger meaning?

cross-1448946_1920

A recent poll found that a majority of Democrats believe Christianity is as violent as Islam.   Ludicrous? Crazy? Certainly but there is more to the story.  I would like to take you back over 2000 years ago as we consider for a moment another “poll” and ultimately a verdict reached by a majority of people.

Barabbas or Jesus

[The following is from Mark 15:7-15

And there was one named Barabbas, who was chained with his fellow rebels; they had committed murder in the rebellion.
Then the multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them.
But Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”For he knew that the chief priests had handed Him over because of envy.
But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them.
Pilate answered and said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?”
So they cried out again, “Crucify Him!”
Then Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has He done?” But they cried out all the more, “Crucify Him!”
So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified. ]

A murderer by the name of Barabbas was chosen by the people instead of a peacemaker.  Jesus Christ the only true Peacemaker was put on trial and found not guilty yet was murdered in the place of a murderer.   When Jesus was standing before Pilate, the crowd began chanting “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”   Are we any different today?  Has our hearts changed or are we seeking again the murderer instead of the Peacemaker?

Like a Mirror

As God Himself, Jesus Christ willingly died to pay the penalty of us breaking God’s law.   Check this out.   Ever lied?  Stolen something even something small?  Ever lusted after another person? Jesus said lust is the same committing adultery in the heart.  Always put God first in your life?  Ever taken God’s name and used it as a cuss word?  Muhammad and Hitler are not even hated as much to use their names to express disgust.

These questions reflect just a part of the Ten Commandments.  They (the Ten Commandments) are a mirror showing us how we have all broken God’s law.  We deserve Hell.  We cannot keep God’s law and yet God demands perfection and complete holiness to enter Heaven. (In other words a person who could fulfill the whole law perfectly could enter Heaven).

Hope

God provided the perfect sacrifice, the one person who has ever been perfect and be sinless.  Of course only God Himself is the only One who could fulfill this.  Therefore as God in human form, Jesus Christ paid a penalty we could never pay so that all who repent and trust in Him alone can enter Heaven.   Jesus rose again after three days in the grave defeating death (the second death, Hell – see Revelation 21:8).

“The cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”   Revelation 21:8

So whether we think Christianity is like Islam or not, there is still hope.   Our once broken relationship with God can be restored because of what Jesus Christ has done for us!

“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8
